Description: |
The Halton District School Board, hereinafter referred to as the “HDSB”, will be initiating a comprehensive consultation process to develop a new Strategic Plan, also known as the Board’s Multi-Year Plan (MYP) for the period of 2024 to 2028. The MYP sets the direction for the HDSB and provides a framework for the HDSB to focus its time, energy, decision making and resource allocation. The MYP demonstrates the HDSB’s ongoing commitment to continued growth and improvement, while increasing confidence in public education. The HDSB is committed to gathering feedback from students, parents/guardians, staff and community partners, to ensure that the MYP reflects a variety of voices of diverse communities including but not limited to Indigenous, Black, Racialized, 2S&LGBTQ , multilingual language learners as well as HDSB staff with varied lived experiences. The intent for this solicitation is to engage with a consulting firm with a specialization in community engagement. The consulting firm will develop and implement a comprehensive engagement process that will garner meaningful feedback from the broader HDSB community, which will in turn guide the development of the HDSB’s new MYP. It is expected that the community engagement process will help the HDSB assess performance in a variety of key areas related to the current MYP, as well as provide recommendations for areas of focus in the review, development and implementation of a new MYP.
